Make Your Own Teapot – 4 Week Course Suitable for anyone who has completed one of our taster sessions or beginner courses. Over four weeks, you’ll learn the full process of making a functional teapot from start to finish. Each session builds on the last so you can complete a teapot ready for use at home. What to expect Week One – Throwing Throw the main body of your teapot, plus the lid and spout. Week Two – Trimming & Assembly Trim your pieces, attach the spout, add a handle, and assemble the full teapot. Week Three – Surface Decoration Use decoration techniques such as carving, adding texture, and tidying up your finished form. Week Four – Glazing Learn the basics of glazing, including oxides, underglazes, and applying our house dipping glazes. After the Course Your teapot will be fired and ready to collect 2–3 weeks after the course finishes.
