All About Me
I'm Taylor Shaw, the maker behind The Scarborough Pottery, a cosy and welcoming ceramics studio nestled by the sea in my hometown of Scarborough. With a BA in Sculpture and an MA in Ceramics, my practice is grounded in a deep understanding of form, material, and the quiet rituals of making by hand.
Before returning to the coast, I spent several years at the historic Farnham Pottery, working as a tutor technician and production thrower. There, I honed my skills in wheel throwing and supported others on their own creative journeys.
